Fans of the WWE and scantily-clad women are in for a special treat with THQ's new PlayStation2 blockbuster which entered the ring on November 7th. WWE SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain puts the S&M in SmackDown, featuring more pain and sequined bikinis than ever before.
The game features an all-new Bra & Panties Mode, which means it's not just the gloves that come off when the wrestlers hit the mat. Players can pick from a number of delectable WWE divas, including top-quality eye candy Trish Stratus, Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. These girls are beloved by wrestling fans across the globe for their unique fighting styles and enormous personalities.
By pushing all the right buttons, players can build up enough steam to pull off special moves and get the girls pulling off each other's clothes. The last lady left standing in anything more than her underwear is the winner. Bra and panties matches have never featured in a game before, and gentlemen gamers up and down the country are bound to be found furiously pumping their analogue sticks in appreciation.
As a special treat for wrestling fans, WWE diva and recent Playboy cover girl Torrie Wilson will be visiting the UK to celebrate the release of SmackDown. Renowned for her smooth in-ring moves, deadly finishing combos and great big hits, Torrie has been a firm favourite with WWE buffs ever since she won the inaugural Golden Thong award. This gorgeous and sexy lady is sure to find herself with a huge crowd of new admirers when she arrives in the UK for a week of promotions on 10th November.
Bra and panties battles are not the only new additions to the Smackdown series - the graphics and gameplay have undergone some serious cosmetic enhancements for SmackDown. Some matches now feature blood, as well as sweat (and, of course, a lot less clothing). The popular Season Mode - which lets players create their own character and take them all the way from wide-eyed rookie to fully fledged WWE superstar - has been fully revamped and expanded, and all wrestlers now have their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Players can choose to inflict damage on a particular part of their opponent's body, allowing for more tactical play, and there are a host of new moves and combos to learn. In addition, the WWE scriptwriters have been hard at work coming up with exciting new storylines especially for SmackDown. All of these new features come together to create a WWE game that is closer to the real thing than ever before. And lets you see girls in their knickers.
With its winning combination of excessive pain and glittery g-strings, WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain is more fun than giving your boss a Chinese burn. The game has been nominated for a C&VG Golden Joystick in the category of Most Wanted Game for Xmas, and it's sure to be one of the biggest hits of this year's festive season. Like so many things in life, it might hurt real bad, but it feels real good.
