KONAMI ANNOUNCES SUIKODEN IV FOR PLAYSTATION®2
GAMERS TO EMBARK ON A NEW EPIC RPG ADVENTURE IN FALL 2004
REDWOOD CITY, CA. - Sept. 26, 2003 - At the Tokyo Game Show in Japan today, Konami of America Inc., announced that Suikoden IV, the newest installment in the popular role-playing game (RPG) series, will be released in the U.S. for PlayStation®2 in Fall 2004. Hailed as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, the series is renowned for its depth of gameplay, immersive storytelling and expansive fantasy world. The Suikoden series first appeared seven years ago on the PlayStation®, followed by Suikoden II in 1999. Last year, Konami released the critically acclaimed Suikoden III for PlayStation®2.
Set 150 years before the original Suikoden adventure, Suikoden IV features the return of the 108 Stars of Destiny, as well as an enhanced graphical interface and a new ground breaking battle system, including ship-to-ship combat. Konami has taken the franchise to new heights with significant enhancements to the visual appearance of the characters and environments as well as the introduction of a new innovative combat system with dynamic camera angles.
The Suikoden series has always delivered an enriched gameplay experience as well as added replay value through innovative battle systems, various storyline twists and multiple endings. Suikoden IV continues the gameplay tradition with players interacting with over 100 characters in vast and rich 3D environments as they battle new adversaries, explore new territory and embark on unforgettable adventures.
