GAMER.TV LAUNCHES THE SEARCH FOR THE UK’S SEXIEST GAMER CONTEST

In order to prove once and for all that computer gaming has moved from geekiness to sexiness, Gamer.tv - a games site devoted to the world and lifestyle of video games, which offers gameplay, forums, news, reviews and online videos - today launched The Search For The UK's Sexiest Gamer at www.sexiestgamer.com.

The Search For The UK's Sexiest Gamer is a three-month campaign culminating in a grand finale to be held at a high profile London venue on 12th December 2003. The initial heats will be covered online and the celebrity-studded final will be filmed for one of Gamer.tv's TV shows for worldwide broadcast. The judging panel will choose one male and one female winner with a first prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Hollywood, USA. A gaming sex idol will be born.

Contestants for The Search For the UK's Sexiest Gamer can be male or female but have to be over the age of 18 and able to prove in due course that they are genuine computer and video gamers through a series of tough tests set up by Gamer.tv.

'Speaking as a gamer myself, we're fed up with being labelled as playground geeks and here at Gamer.tv we've decided to dispel this myth by showing that gamers can be sexy as hell,' commented Chris Bergstresser, CEO, Gamer.tv.
