Beano & Dandy Gang Off To A Racing Start...

The engines are revving in the editorial offices of the UK's most popular comics – The Beano and The Dandy - in anticipation of the launch of their first ever PC game! Beanotown Racing - ever-faithful to the legendary Beano comic artwork which nearly one million kids still enjoy every week - screaches into stores on 7th November.

Beanotown Racing features ten of the best-loved Beano and Dandy comic characters, ready to compete in Beanotown's Championship Challenge. This adrenalin packed racing game, built for Beano and Dandy publishers DC Thomson by Simian Industries*, offers players a choice of six fun racetracks – three indoor and three outdoor – represented in and around the streets of Beanotown; Wild in the Country, Street Streak, Wild West Test, Dandy Dash, Bash St. Burn Up and Haunted Castle.

Once the track has been chosen, budding Schumachers can then select their favourite character to race in the furiously competitive championship challenge! When a player's chosen character has reached podium position, other racers and more difficult racetracks are unlocked for a more advanced race game.

In Beanotown Racing players are given the choice of three game modes; Single Race, Time Trial and Championship, with the level of racetracks and characters available dependent on the players' performance in the overall championship. To add to the fun, gamers can use various weapon and speed boost power ups to enhance their performance.

An action packed race challenge including all the best gaming thrills and spills, Beanotown Racing will offer great family fun and entertainment for all kids aged from seven to ninety-seven years!
